Foodtastic celebrates prestigious Platinum win at the 2026 MarCom Awards
National public relations program recognized for announcing Dunkin’s return to Canada
MONTREAL, October 28, 2026 – Foodtastic has won a Platinum Award in the Public Relations Program category at the 2026 MarCom Awards for the national communications campaign announcing Dunkin’s return to Canada.
Titled “Dunkin’ returns to Canada: reintroducing an iconic brand to a new generation,” the campaign supported the May 12 announcement that Foodtastic signed a master franchising agreement with Inspire Brands to open hundreds of Dunkin’ locations across Canada. The program shared the news with English- and French-speaking audiences and highlighted Foodtastic’s role in leading the brand’s growth in Canada.
“Bringing Dunkin’ to Canada is an exciting milestone for Foodtastic, and one that means a great deal to all of us,” said Peter Mammas, founder and CEO of Foodtastic. “We wanted Canadians to share in our vision and feel the excitement of what’s ahead. I’m so proud of our team and the passion, creativity and commitment they brought to this project. This Platinum award is a wonderful recognition of their hard work, and I want to congratulate everyone who played a part in making it happen. This achievement belongs to our team, and it makes me even more excited about what we can accomplish together as we bring this iconic brand back to Canadians.”
The program combined bilingual communications with national and regional media outreach, spokesperson interviews, and messaging that addressed the brand’s Canadian history and future development.
“Our approach connected the familiarity of Dunkin’ with a new chapter led by Foodtastic,” said Vlad Ciobanu, senior vice-president of marketing at Foodtastic. “It was important to tell a story that struck with Canadians while communicating clear expectations about the brand’s development. We’re proud to see that work recognized internationally.”
